The National Audubon Society has an annual Christmas Bird Count, a community service event where dedicated volunteers will document bird activity.
The Christmas Bird Count is a free, all-day event where participants will count, observe, and record all the birds they see and hear in a 15-mile radius. You have the opportunity to participate in this experience with the MVPGR. Your service will work toward a larger project of monitoring bird species and this data will be sent to be analyzed and utilized for publications and government reports. No experience is required.
