Directions to the Merced Vernal Pools and Grassland Reserve (MVPGR)
1. Navigate to UC Merced Campus (5200 Lake Road, Merced, CA 95343)
2. Turn right onto Ranchers Road (north of the main entrances) and follow it until it makes a 90 degree turn to the south (right).
Options:
a) Park at one of the campus parking areas, and walk to the corner of Rancher’s and Ansel Adam’s Roads.On weekdays, the FLOWBIRD parking mobile app can be used to purchase parking (for use 12 days per month or less). On weekends, parking is free of charge. Closest parking lots to the MVPGR are the LeGrand Lot and North Bowl Lots.
b) If prior approval has been grantedwith the Reserve Director, enter/meet at Ranchers Road Gate access entrance to the MVPGR. A locator map is shown below for reference.
